Hundreds flock to Beckworth Emporium for official opening
Hundreds of eager shoppers flocked to Mears Ashby to witness the official opening of Beckworth Emporium.
With the Mayor of Wellingborough - Councillor Eileen Higgins - on hand to cut the ribbon alongside new owners Jon Kitching and David Brown, the emporium of plants, produce, restaurant and food was officially opened to the public.
Thousands have flocked to Beckworth Emporium since its official opening on April 10th – a day which sa
w all corners of the community come together to share in the excitement. Children and adults alike gathered outside the main entrance to watch the Mayor join with the former plant centre owners John and Jan Gaggini to officially open the centre. The opening was completed with an aerial display by the Blades who took to the skies to thrill the crowds.
Beckworth Emporium is unique. It’s more than a plant centre, and equally so much more than a farm shop. The seven-acre site is an entire experience. “It’s the perfect day out,” said the Worshipful Mayor of Wellingborough, Councillor Eileen Higgins, during her recent tour of the site.
