“Bigger and better” open air real ice rink to be unveiled at Beckworth Emporium
Work is under way at Beckworth Emporium to install an open-air real ice rink, double the size of the one unveiled last year at the Mears Ashby shopping emporium.
The real ice rink, which measures 340sqm, will be in place from the end of November and comes complete with music and lighting.
From November until January, Beckworth Emporium will dazzle with twinkling lights, Christmas trees, gifts and delicious festive food.
Customers of all ages are invited to take to the ice and enjoy the ultimate open-air skating experience in the idyllic setting of the Beckworth Emporium courtyard.
Beckworth Emporium owner, David Brown, said: “We were overwhelmed with the success of the rink last year, and so have decided to install one which is double the size to ensure that all of the customers have an even better experience. The new indoor Ice Café coupled with the rink is the perfect way for families to get in the festive mood. We're anticipating it to begin selling-out soon just as they did last year – this year is going to be bigger and better than last year .”
Beckworth will provide top-quality skates, an indoor skate exchange area, indoor and outdoor viewing areas, push-along penguins to help young children learn to skate and festive rink-side refreshments.
The real ice rink is due to open on November 26th and will be open daily until January 9th*. The hourly sessions will run throughout the day and should be booked in advance via the online booking system or in-store. 20 / 20 Deal - groups of more than 20 people receive a 20% discount.
